The Gathering is a weekly opportunity not only to grow as a follower of Christ and hang out with some great friends, but also to sharpen, counsel, and disciple one another in authentic community according to Acts 2:42-47. While the children and students meet downstairs in their Wednesday activities and services, The Gathering for adults utilizes multiple strategies upstairs to help people meet, connect, and grow together.
Adults meet at round tables in the sanctuary in their existing groups. (If you don’t yet have a group, just come and we’ll help you find a group to sit with as you meet new people.) The evening opens with a fun time of just personal “catching up” among each group. Then a topical, scriptural discussion is initiated from the stage and facilitated among all of groups, after which each group spends time discussing and studying the night’s topic at their own tables. Finally, the evening ends with each table praying for one another.
Each Community Group also meets in homes the last Wednesday of every month.
Periodically, the Gathering also morphs into other special events like game nights, shared dinners, etc.
