Meet Chris

Community Director

Chris loves hanging out with people and quoting 90s movies, but he also has a remarkable background as a former U.S. Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Tech. He served two deployments in the Middle East, undertaking numerous missions globally. Beyond his professional life, he is a very busy and devoted family man, proudly raising five kids with his wife, CJ. His life was changed by Christ through the Regeneration recovery program, which is why he has also served as a leader in these groups. Eventually, The Grove asked Chris and CJ to volunteer in a community leadership role—and they did so well that we asked Chris to join the staff permanently. Now, he can’t get rid of us.

These days, Chris uses his skills and experience in defusing explosive situations to help community groups have fun and find deeper connection together, navigating relational landmines with honesty, compassion, and biblical wisdom. He also possesses a passion for motorcycles—and loves repairing them almost as much as riding them. A true Nashville Predators enthusiast since their inaugural season, Chris brings a unique blend of military expertise and family values to his personal and ministry pursuits.
